Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny was introduced to the United States by the German settlers who arrived in the Pennsylvania Dutch country during the 18th century.  The arrival of the Easter Bunny was considered one of "childhood's greatest pleasures," similar to the arrival of Kris Kringle on Christmas Eve. According to the tradition, children would build brightly colored nests, often out of bonnets.  The Easter Bunny would lay brightly colored eggs in the nests.

This Easter Bunny stands ready to welcome your guests to a celebration of spring!  From his tiny pink and white checked wool pants, pink and tan striped coat and his chocolate brown top hat, he is ready for your spring festivities.  His basket is decorated with beautiful eggs and he carries an embellished cane.  With this handsome fellow to welcome your guests at the door, everyone will recognize that something special is happening this spring.
